Storage Specifications
When the palmetto berries are picked, they should be dried within a couple of days to avoid spoilage. Subsequently, if kept in a dry storage facility, protected from Florida`s sub-tropical humidity, the berries will stay fresh for two (2) years or more. To make sure the customer receives the freshest berries possible, we offer attractive discounts for pre-sold berries.
Our company keeps a fresh supply of (coarsely) ground berries on hand for emergency orders and immediate shipment. After the berries are ground, if not refrigerated, they are even more susceptible to moisture and mildew. For this reason, we recommend that ground berries be stored in a cool, dry location.
